‘Poignant’ Dambusters teddy that accompanied pilot on every mission could fetch £10,000
A TEDDY bear that accompanied a pilot on his Dambusters raid is set to fetch up to £10,000 at auction. David Maltby took lucky mascot Pinnie The Wooh on every mission he flew in the Second World War. Pinnie was in his cockpit for the famous Dambusters attack of 1943 and was there for his fatal final mission a few months later.
